I've been playing around with black watercolor a lot lately, and I just love the wide range of gray tones I can get from just solid black. I wanted to use the blog to push out a free printable calendar, so I started messing around with black watercolor and fell in love with the results.
I hand-painted all the months, days of the week, and numbers, then I painted one box to use for the days. I scanned it all and moved it into photoshop to arrange each month. It took a LOT longer than I thought it would, but now I feel like I'm a calendar pro, and I've already got a couple ideas for calendars to sell in my Etsy shop.
Also, how cool are these colored gel pens? My mom gave me about 50 for Christmas, and I went a little crazy with them today. Check out my instagram (@emilyroseink) for the flipagram movie I made with the images below
To download and print, simply click the link below and open the file in a PDF reader. The images are formatted for an 8.5'' x 11'' piece of paper (no cutting involved! so easy!), so you can print it on standard printer paper, but I think it looks nicest on a heavier card stock. The calendar pages pictured above were printed on the 80# recycled felt-finish card stock I use for all my cards and prints, but any nice card stock will do.
If you end up printing my calendar, I'd LOVE to see pictures! Tag @emilyroseink in your instagram picture of the calendar and I'll direct message you a link to a little bonus free download! If you have your own blog and want to share this with your audience, please also link directly back to this page.
NOTE: This calendar is free for personal use only, not for commercial use. You can print as many as you'd like for yourself or as a gift for someone, but you cannot sell this calendar in print or digital form, or use my artwork as your own in any altered form. Even this simple calendar took hours and hours of hard work, so thanks in advance for respecting that!
