MARKETING / SOCIAL MEDIA intern

position available on a rolling basis

Specifications:

  • local to Chicago & available to work from the Emily Rose Ink studio in East Humboldt Park

  • commitment of 10-15 hours, with the potential for growth

  • must be able to commit for at least 3 months

  • can earn school credit, if necessary


In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • enjoy a highly creative and interactive work environment and work on an exciting array of projects (wedding stationery, editorial photoshoots, industry events, etc.)

  • gain hands-on experience working for a small, growing business

  • learn about social media management, wedding stationery photography, the wedding industry, and running a creative business

Responsibilities:

The social media / photography intern's duties may include, but are not limited to: 

  • create & implement a social media marketing strategy for Emily Rose Ink by managing Instagram & Pinterest accounts

  • maintain a consistent and optimized social media calendar

  • take daily photographs for social media, web, and newsletter content

  • pitch press ideas around the web and potential partnership ideas to industry contacts

  • mail sample books & other promotional material to planners & other industry contacts

Skills:

  • master strategist for Instagram, Pinterest, newsletter campaigns & blog posts

  • skilled photographer with a DSLR camera

  • experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign

  • fluency with Google Apps (sheets, drive, docs)

  • proficiency in using Squarespace and/or MailChimp (a plus)
