who we are

We're based in Chicago, but we provide stationery for weddings all over the world. From Washington D.C. and New Jersey to Salt Lake City and Carmel, California, we've helped couples make their wedding dreams come true across the country. We've also had the pleasure of working on weddings in amazing European cities like Paris, Venice, and Dublin, to name a few.

If you're interested in learning more about our services and our process, drop us a note on our contact page!

We can't wait to get to know you.

Our mission is to create wedding invitations and paper goods that will serve as meaningful keepsakes, works of art that celebrate your story as a couple.

We create invitations that reflect the unique personality of our clients — personal details like their love of animals, their passion for the outdoors, or the story of how they met — and we believe that the right invitation suite can make even the largest wedding feel special and intimate. Our invitations often have a sense of place, whether it’s a venue illustration or a floral border inspired by the local colors and varieties of flowers that will be used in their wedding. We love dressing up an envelope so that each guest feels like they are opening a beautifully decorated gift. We want your guests to feel like they are being invited to step into your lives.

Emily works primarily with watercolor, ink illustration, and calligraphy, mediums that lend themselves well to our whimsical, romantic design aesthetic. She finds inspiration for her designs in stories, architecture and the colors of nature. Whether simple and elegant, playful and sweet, or organic and romantic, all Emily Rose Ink designs play with tradition and give our couples' weddings a unique, personal, and down-to-earth touch.

We believe that weddings should be not only beautiful but meaningful, and that invitations can serve this purpose by incorporating the little details of your life into invitations that feel like works of art.

EMILY rose ASHER

The leading lady behind Emily Rose Ink

A former high school English teacher-turned-artist, calligrapher, and stationer; Emily started Emily Rose Ink in 2014 and has been living and breathing pretty paper ever since!

She lives and works in the East Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago with her musician husband, Scott, and their two rescue pups, Phoebe and Murray. Dog rescue is Emily’s other passion; she is very involved as a volunteer with Second City Canine Rescue. On a typical day, you can find her sipping on a latte with 100 computer tabs open and at least one dog curled at her feet. The love, care, and creativity that guides her little family's life together is central to the mission of Emily Rose Ink.

Emily is honored to be a part of her clients' inspiring love stories. She believes in the sweet sincerity of gift-giving (it’s one of her love languages!), with invitations as a gift from couples to their guests. Her design aesthetic is organic, romantic, and inspired by thoughtful, illustrative details. Above all, Emily believes that wedding stationery should celebrate each couple and the people who have loved and supported them along the way.

At Emily Rose Ink, we care as much about the personal and professional development of our team, as we do our clients and the overall work we do.
